We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Administrative Assistant to support Australian legal professionals with administrative and clerical tasks. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in legal administration and a keen understanding of the Australian legal system.

As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for managing legal documents, scheduling appointments, and liaising with clients to ensure smooth daily operations. You will work closely with legal teams to maintain accurate records and support various legal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court dates.
  • Maintain and organise legal files and databases.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and other legal entities.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal briefs and case summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in legal administration, preferably within the Australian legal system.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and documentation.
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with discretion.
