Data Analyst – SQL

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst – SQL to join our BPO team. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting, cleaning, analysing, and interpreting data to support client operations and decision-making. You’ll work with large datasets from various systems and provide actionable insights that improve performance, compliance, and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data from client databases.
  • Clean and validate data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Interpret trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Assist in the automation of reporting processes and development of data pipelines.
  • Document data definitions, procedures, and findings in a clear and organised manner.
  • Support data quality initiatives and identify areas for improvement in client data management processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role, ideally within a BPO or shared services environment.
  • Proficient in SQL, with experience writing complex queries across large datasets.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Understanding of relational databases, data modelling, and reporting best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with shifting priorities.
