Sysadmin – Windows

Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Windows Systems Administrator to join our BPO infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Windows-based systems and environments across multiple client accounts, ensuring stability, security, and performance.

As a Systems Administrator, you’ll work with internal technical teams and client stakeholders to support server operations, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements. You will also help manage user access, backups, and routine system maintenance in alignment with each client’s IT requirements and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
  • Monitor server health and performance, applying patches and updates as needed.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents, service requests, and escalations in a timely manner.
  • Assist with user account management, access control, and system provisioning.
  • Perform routine backup and restore operations to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  • Implement and enforce security protocols, monitoring logs and addressing vulnerabilities or unusual activity.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to support deployments, upgrades, and system integrations.
  • Document procedures, changes, and configurations to maintain accurate system records.
  • Participate in after-hours maintenance and on-call rotation as required by client service levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Windows systems administration, ideally in a BPO, MSP, or enterprise IT environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
  • Familiarity with backup solutions, monitoring tools, and endpoint security products.
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls) and how they interact with system infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a methodical and logical approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with international clients and remote teams.
  • Certification in Microsoft (e.g. MCSA, AZ-104) or equivalent is highly regarded.
